    My website has been functional for 5 years and this morning the home page works very well but when I click on a link I receive the message Ready to publish your first article? Start here.
    as if my site was new even though the whole site is there.

    look in the database to see what’s available for the content of your website. the database is normally available in your webhosting account in an area labeled PHPMYADMIN. there is a table in the database that contains all posts and pages (i.e. the content of your website). if you are not sure where to find the database connected to your website, please contact your webhosting account support team for guidance.

    otherwise, if you have a recent backup copy of your website (files and database) you could try to restore your site to a previous version.
