Link does not show on category page

Hi Ana,
You will need to add a shop page wp shortcode where you want the products to display. This can be on a page or post, but products don’t automatically display with a category archive page.

You can find the shortcodes over on the documentation page.

I’ve added the short code to the Page description. I’ve created a new product, assigned one of the categories under the Shop Page where the short code was placed and still product does not show in the respective category I’ve selected.

Hi Ana,

An archive page is a wordpress page that displays posts from a category, like blog posts. An example is your lifestyle category archive page – https://shinemommy.com/category/lifestyle/. It displays the posts within that category.

This isn’t how shop page products display.

You need to use an actual wordpress “page” or “post” then insert the shop page shortcode on that page to display the products. An example of a page is this one: https://shinemommy.com/shop/

In your sub navigation bar you are linking to the category archives. If you want to separate out the categories, you can create “pages” like your “shop” page and insert the shop page shortcode with that specific category.

@justinmw, I am having the same issue at my website, https://www.maplewoodroad.com/shop, including my shop-crafts and shop-kitchen pages. I keep getting Nothing Found. I have created Shop-Kitchen and Shop-Crafts pages and have included the category shortcodes on those pages, but it’s still not working. However, in my sidebar category menu for my blog (I’m using the Display Categories Widget from WP), it works just fine…but the shop area isn’t working. I’m so confused. Please help.
