Link does not work in mobile browsers

The plugin works great in Chrome, but it doesn’t work on iPhone/iPad mobile Safari (I’m using a responsive theme). This may be an issue with jQuery smooth scrolling in general. Apparently there are workarounds involving browser checking? Can this be built into the plugin? Thanks.
