  • What text ?? What Link ?? WordPress uses different templates to display different information.

Depending on the template that is used things may and probably will change.
The templates are located under the editor beta link on the dashboard. If you click the editor you will be placed in the editor. Clicking on the large W in the top left of your screen will display links to your template parts

. Templates are used to display the data and template parts are parts of the template like Headers and Footers.

If you are in the Template area you will see a Home template. The Home template is used if no homepage is being specified in the settings->reading option of your site. There is also a template called “paged”. If a page that isn’t the home page is being displayed it will use this template.

The template determines what data is being displayed.

This page displays the hierarchy of templates.

I only see a Home template, but don’t see a way to edit it.

On the home page ‘GPADA YouTube Channel’ appears without a underline and is not hot linked.

Like GPADA YouTube Channel when the First Launch link is opened.

The underlines do clutter things up sometimes, and may be undesirable in the header. In this case, having a working hyperlink is implied by the context.

Currently a visitor must know that he must first open the post link to access the hyperlink, but this complicates things and may be not be understood …

… It depends on themes. Some themes provide that option. It’s not a universal WordPress option …

There is Bluehost’s answer as to why I’m not seeing a ‘editor beta.’

There are several templates listed in the theme editor. You have to click the link under appearance for the editor. When the editor comes up you will have a large WordPress symbol at the top left corner. When you click it you should see options for template and template parts. If you click templates you should see templates for home, archive, post,404, and so on. You just select the template you want to work with. The header and footer will be in the “Template part” block. Menus will be in the navigation block. It will look and act just like the page and post editor. Once you finish your edit just update.

When you update the theme in the new editor. The updates are not saved in your file. If you want to save them as a file you need to export them. If you don’t export them and you lose your database you will lose all your work.
