    That’s the format I’ve always used on my sites and it has always worked fine.

    I know what you mean because I’ve also wondered before about those much longer URL’s. But all I can tell you is using the form exactly as you are using has always worked for me and I’ve had plenty of clicks and sold lots of products using that form of link.

    It seems like Amazon is pretty robust and can translate a variety of forms of those links properly.

    windracer – the long ugly URLs are full of unneccessary crap which are used to identify campaigns and stuff. Of no use to you or your visititors and makes no difference to whether the click is tracked or not. The script strips it back to the minimum for neater, shorter URLs that track.
