link from Google, Facebook broken ("the connection was reset")

  • When you type the domain name for my site: https://catherineorr.com into a browser, or if you click on the link in an email, the site works fine. However if you try to link to the site from Google, Facebook, (maybe even this forum?), etc., the site does not load and the following error message appears:

    “The connection was reset
    The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.”

    I’ve checked with GoDaddy, which hosts my site, and they say the problem is not on their end.

    I’ve tried deactivating all of my plugins and switching to 2010 theme, and it still doesn’t work.

    Any ideas?
