Link images to menu items

  • Hello,

    I need to link images to menu-items, so that when a specific menu item is active I can display a specific image at the top of the page (in a horizontal bar below the menu).

    I dont want to use ‘featured images’ as I’d like to have that functionality available for other images. Also, the images must not be CSS background images, but I need to have them available as HTML IMG tags.

    Does anyone have any tips on how to go about doing this? Or maybe know of a plugin that has this functionality worked out?
