I am getting an error of “Link keyphrase: You’re linking to another page with the words you want this page to rank for. Don’t do that!”, even after I don’t have any internal or external link to my post.

Even if I add some link (Without matching Link text with Focus Keyphrase), it’s showing the same error.

    Pl, help me resolve this.
I am facing the same issue with a number of different posts on my website.

  • Hi @mukat29,

The warning should only appear when you use the keyphrase in the link text on the same page. Can you let us know the focus keyphrase you selected for the example page?

We understand you have not used the Yoga for Diabetes focus keyphrase anywhere on your site before but you are still seeing that you have used the focus keyphrase before on your site from Yoast SEO and it’s frustrating for you. We apologies for any inconvenience about this. Let’s see what’s going on here.

Since you haven’t used the relevant focus keyphrase before but you are still seeing the relevant notice from Yoast SEO, we think this is something specific to your setup. Therefore, we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.
