I’ve created a second library by setting the ‘number of libraries’ to 2 in the global options.
I’m displaying Library 1 and Library 2 on separate pages, with different categories in each library.
I’m trying to use [link-library-count settings=1] and [link-library-count settings=2] to display the total number of links for each library, but both shortcodes return the total number for Library 1.

What does the shortcode need to change to for the total links in Library 2?

Also, is it possible to get a total for Library 1 + Library 2 (all libraries)?

I’ll investigate this week-end. I just took a quick look at the code and it does seem like it takes the library parameter into consideration, but I really just looked at it for a few moments.

    awesome, thank you Yannick.

I just tried setting it to [link-library-count settings=5] (I only have 2 libraries) and it still displayed the total for Library 1.

Separate but similar issue, but I also noticed that the search function only returns results if they’re in Library 1.

Just to be sure, when you created a second library, did you select that second library and set the list of categories to be displayed to be different than the categories to be displayed in the first library?

I just ran a test with two libraries, each displaying one category, then created a page containing shortcodes to display the count for each library and I am getting the correct different counts displayed for each library configuration.

    [link-library-count settings=1]
    [link-library-count settings=2]

I also tried specifying the category number with and without quotes and it showed up fine in both cases.

Could you export both of your library configurations and send them to me via e-mail? ylefebvre at gmail dot com.

As for the search function, do you have it on a page that is displaying Library 1 or Library 2? The results will appear based on the configuration of the [link-library] shortcode that is used on the page that has the search form or the page that the search form is configured to direct to.

Yes, the lists of inclusions and exclusions for the two libraries are completely different. If a category exists in library 1, it doesn’t exist in library 2. Two completely distinct sets of categories in each library.

Each library is displayed on a separate page, and the appropriate categories for each library are displayed.

I’ll email you the two config exports now along with further info.

    Thanks! ??

The count issue has been resolved in the latest version of Link Library.

In terms of getting a total, you could just create a third library that shows all links. While you would not show that library anywhere, you could use that library ID when displaying your count to show the grand total.
