Link preview does not always work

    Hi,

    When I share this url (and others) in Viber I get a URL preview with the page image, title, description etc. properly loaded. When I share the very same link in Messenger or as a comment to a Facebook discussion under a post, I only get the URL loaded. Sometimes it’s not even clickable.

    I have examined the source code of my page, and I can see that og:image, og:title, og:description, og:url, og:type appear to be properly configured and present.

    Why is Facebook and Messenger choosing to ignore them, and not load the preview of my shared link when other applications use them?

    I have even checked with Facebook’s Sharing Debugger, and it processes all the data there, it loads the image and appears to not throw an error but for the fb:app_id, which seems irrelevant.

    Why is this happening? Is there anything else I could do on my part to prevent this?

    Hello @skredlemon

    Thanks for reaching out about your link preview. Since the og:image is in the page source, Facebook sharing debugger fetches the image but not Facebook messenger, the issue isn’t with our plugin. ?I recommend reaching out to Facebook in the?Developer Community Forum.
