Link rel prev/next not being removed

    I have an install of WordPress 4.9.6. I tried enabling the option for removing the link rel next/prev in the header but it does not appear to work. With the option checked I am still seeing these items in the header.

    I also checked my theme’s header.php to make sure they weren’t being added there.
