link says that podcast is not available in the US

  • my new website is at

    When I search for my podcast in the US iTunes store it shows up, but when I click the link on my website it says my podcast isn’t available in the US. I feel like the xml code is to blame, but have no idea how to change it. I do live in Japan, so I feel like when I installed the plugin that an automatic setup procedure may have detected my location and imposed some kind of region block. My audience is mostly in America though, so I need it changed.

    Why do “feel” like the XML could be the problem?

    I think the problem could be the some trouble with the feed URL. For instance: If you open the default podcast feed URL – in your case: https://www.theothershore.org/feed/podcast the request gets redirected to https://www.theothershore.org/podcast-2/ .
    That makes the podcast feed not available. That is probably why your iTunes pages does not show any podcast episode and because there is no podcast episode the other error message may occur.
    I suggest we try to solve the redirection problem and see what happens with the availability in the US.

    Do you use a further plugin to redirect feed URLs?

    I made a little test and the problem is maybe the permalink function of WP. You cannot have a page with the slug name podcast while you have a feed with (almost) the same name. I recommend that you change the slug name of the page podcast-2 to podcasts.

    Is it correct that you have registered https://www.theothershore.org/feed/podcast at the iTunes podcast repository?
