Link thumbnail to webpage

    Hi, I simply want to have the user click on a thumbnail, and instead of opening a lightbox, I need it to open another webpage. I’ve mucked around for hours and can’t seem to get it. Even custom URL doesn’t do it.

    Any ideas please?

  • I managed to do this by copying the full target URL from my browser, then opening the image in the Media Library and pasting the URL into the “Custom URL” box. Then I selected either ‘new tab’ or ‘same tab, depending on preference, in “Custom target”.

    Your first image (workwear) is trying to link to a page, but not finding it (404 error) which would indicate a typo in the URL. The others are all just opening images (not in a lightbox).

    Are you setting the “link to” setting to custom URL?

    The images in your gallery are pointing to URL’s which do not point to anything.

    Have you been able to resolve this following Brad’s advice to ensure that the “link to” setting is set to “custom URL”?
