Link to a Marker on the map

    Hi,

    is there an easy way to link on a page with a map on it and “filter/zoom” on a marker? E.g. I do have a world wide map with markers and want to link to a single marker. It would be great to do this with parameters including the marker name and zoom. E.g. use page above, search for “Westland” and click on the data table – this would be the “perfect” link target.

    I did not find anything in documentation nor in the support forum. I found this for “linking“, but this is not what I’m searching for.

    Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.

    This is possible using URL Query parameters, which allow you to specify initialization options as part of your link. Specifically, you would need two in your case, one to set the marker, and the second to set the zoom level.

    These parameters can be seen below:

    • markerid : The marker ID to focus on
    • mzoom : The map zoom level to apply

    An example link for your site would be: https://fosm.de/whisky-whiskey-destillerien-weltweit-map-karte/?markerid=2310&mzoom=12

    Unfortunately, we do not allow the marker to be opened automatically using this method, but we might be able to help you with this directly if you contact us on our website.
