@desclosf I’ve noticed this too with accommodation type businesses.

I will contact the Google Maps support team later today and find out what they’re doing to fix this issue (it’s on Google’s side).

Thanks. Waiting for your feedback then ??

@desclosf I’ve reported it to them. I usually get a response and they’ve fixed some other similar issues to this in the past. I think this one will need to occur at their end because there will be many people using this “read reviews” link and having a working one for some business types and not others is inconsistent.

    Hello,

At the time I wrote this question, I always had an Error 500, either from embedded google maps or from your plugin.

Following your request to google this was solved, and now from embeded google maps I’m properly redirected to the review list, but from your plugin I’m redirected to a list of hotel, the one I’m looking for review not being in the list ??

Anything that can be done on your side ?

Thanks in advance for your help and support
    F.

@desclosf I’ll investigate this further to see if there’s a simple way to check for the type of business and perhaps use an alternative link in such a case. This should be something handled by Google because they are providing the single/simple URL based on the Place ID. The end destination is something they can process properly.

@desclosf I still haven’t heard back from the Google Maps support about this issue.

In the meantime, please disable the read reviews link to avoid visitors going to an area-wide search result for accommodation:

    [reviews_rating link_disable="reviews"]

If you have it (and you do), you can manually set your own full “read reviews” URL here using:

    [reviews_rating link="https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/CgoI4Y_7t9LZpOtEEAE/reviews?g2lb=4371335%2C4605861%2C4641139%2C4401769%2C4649665%2C2503946%2C4270442%2C2503781%2C4640247%2C4647134%2C4258168%2C4596364%2C4308227%2C4419364%2C4697205%2C4306835%2C4624411%2C2503771%2C4667459%2C4317915%2C2502548%2C4597339%2C4291517%2C4284970%2C4270859&hl=fr-FR&gl=fr&ssta=1&rp=OAJAAEgBwAEC&ictx=1&utm_campaign=sharing&utm_medium=link&utm_source=htls&ts=CAESABoECgIaACoECgAaAA"]

    Hey Noah,

Thanks a lot for your answer. Great workaround indeed ??
