Link to Author’s post – 404

  • If I hover over an author’s name at the foot of a news post, the URL is

    (where 97 is the ID from wp-users)

    This results in a 404 error.

    In my test setup (LAMP) the URL is

    My local host… /index.php/author/gycadmin/

    where gycadmin is the author. This works.
    Any idea why my live site generates a different URL? It is completely up-to-date with the latest theme and WordPress.
