• Hello,

I currently have a podcast with about 3 years of content (published weekly). The podcast is listed in iTunes, and is hosted on Libsyn.

I would like to offer a full list of all our podcast episodes on our WordPress website, and also offer a player (if possible) to listen to content right on our page, without having to leave our website.

I checked into Libsyn, and they offer a service that posts all FUTURE podcast episodes to my wordpress site, but that doesn’t solve my problem about wanting to list all PREVIOUS episodes.

I downloaded and activated PowerPress, but I am wondering if there is a feature in this plugin that can facilitate our need to post the entire library of previous podcast episodes from our feed to our (WordPress based) website?

    Thanks

If your LibSyn feed has all the enclosures linked in the <content> portion of your feed, you can simply import that feed into WordPress, then use the tool in PowerPress > Tools > Import from other blogging platform. Then all your episodes will be linked in your site, each as separate blog posts.

If you just want one page that is continually updated with the latest episode added to the top or bottom, you may be able to find a javascript based player that can do that from the RSS feed for you. Feed2js would do minus the player.

You could also add your podcast to Blubrry podcast directory and use our pop-up player, it allows folks to play episodes as well as browse your complete podcast archive in a new window, NPR has a similar setup for their podcasts.

Moving your podcast to your blog is a good thing to do (LibSyn doesn’t think so), putting all your meta data for your podcast on the same server as your podcast is a no brainer, helps you out in many ways such as SEO and branding, let alone simplify your episode management.
