• I am running buddypress and would like to link to the current logged in user’s profile page through my menu.

We have removed the default ADMIN BAR – and replaced it with our custom menu built in the Appearance>Menu area of wordpress. Currently the “Profile” link I created links to the current logged in users “activity”, but I want it to go to their “Profile” page. such as mywebsite . com/members/fred/

I found the php code that the sidebar menu uses to link to the current logged in users Profile Page, and tried adding that to my menu in place of a https:// link – but it does not work.

I am wondering if I can either add a code directly to the hyperlink area of the menu – or locate the PHP page that the menu resides in and add the php link there.

Incidentally – I do not want to send the users to wp-admin/profile.php as I do not want to send them to the admin “backend”.

Any help or direction would be very helpful!

    Thanks!
