Link to Existing Fediverse Account

  • What would be *awesome* is if this would link to an existing Fediverse account (Mastodon, Pleroma, etc) that already has a number of followers and post to that account instead of creating a new account on an Instance that has no followers.

    Hi @hiltont thanks for your feedback, the case you describe is not the idea of ActivityPub (the specification). The plugin does not create an account on a new instance, it makes WordPress a fediverse instance by itself and you can directly follow all authors on your blog.

    If you simply need a tool that ?shares“ your posts using an existing account on mastodon, you have to search for sharing plugins like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mastodon-share/

    It is not that it is a bad idea, it is simply a different approach.
