Link to external page

Hi,

I built a site for a client some time ago. Then they heard about WordPress (from me!). So they asked me to add a wp section to their site. So far, so good.

Their main html site is located in the public folder on their server and the wp pages within a directory called “blog”.

So, with the theme I’ve used I’ve got an arrow in the top main horizontal nav bar which links back to the wp homepage within the blog directory.

But they’ve asked me to make that link to the main site index page which is not in the “blog” directory.

I’ve tried going through settings – reading but it hasn’t worked.

I’ve tried creating a “home” page link and then changing the permalink in page edit to the url I want but no joy.

Can anyone suggest an answer please.
