Link to Invoice not order in email confirmation

  • Hi, I am working with Komal on a different issue with the Paid Tyche version of the delivery date plugin and conflicts with other PDF invoice plugins at the moment and thought YOUR WooCommerce Print Invoice & Delivery Note plugin might help solve the whole situation.

    HOWEVER i noticed that the link sent to the customer on the processing email confirmation is a link to print the order.

    My customers require an INVOICE not the order printout so was hoping you could tell me how to have it link to the invoice instead of the order to print. Any chance on your admin screen to add a tick box that allows which document type to link to in the email?

    The other thing that needs to be made really clear to the customer is the wording on the email confirmation.

    Currently it reads “Print: Open print view browser”

    I think if it read something like this instead “Print Invoice/Order: Open invoice/order in print view browser” this would make it a lot clearer to customers exactly what it was they needed to print.

    Another thing that would be super handy is to be able to download this as a PDF.

  • Hi @simstace,

    It’s not possible to change the link to print the invoice currently. We are thinking of adding this feature in our next update which will take at least a week.

    We will also add the ability to download it as PDF. For now, the customers will have to print the PDF manually by clicking the ‘Print’ option after right clicking on the print page.

    I am looking forward to the update in a weeks time to have the option on the email to print invoice instead of order.

    Also do you think you are able to update the wording for the print link for a clearer instruction for customers in this same update?

    Yes, we will be able to change the wording of the print link, possibly through a setting where you will be able to add the text.
