I don’t know if that link will work because it’s a post sale page with all the links to the products. The PDF download links still work, but the links to our vimeo files are acting like downloads also instead of going to the vimeo video. This was once working just fine. I set installed and set up the store in autumn of 2016. What changed since then? I tried updating to latest woocommerce and latest wordpress to no avail Help please.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

What does the Vimeo URL look like?

So when someone clicks on the link it downloads the video? I see a password protected page from Vimeo.

Could it be settings on Vimeo?

No, when the purchase is made something happens to the link. When clicked, a Save File dialog box now opens. This was working properly as recently as December, meaning at that time, when the link was clicked the vimeo webpage opened with the password field. which is what was supposed to happen. Something changed since then and I don’t know what.

    Hi sunshowerbiz,

Can you send your System Status Report? You can find it in your dashboard at WooCommerce > Status. It seems like something is circumventing those links in the order confirmation page (which I could see, thank you!).

We might need to do plugin conflict testing (I think we will), so you may want to set up a staging site now, if you don’t have one already. Make a backup of your site, then install WP Staging ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/ ), and create a fresh staging site. We’ll likely end up asking you to disable all plugins except WooCommerce and testing a dummy order, and IF it works, enabling your plugins one-by-one (or in batches if you have many) to find where the conflict is occurring.

    Cheers

    Hi Zandy-

I tried to send a copy of the report, but I got a message that said it had to be held for review. Can you tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll do a search?

Hey there – I’m not sure if you had gotten this figured out or not – but generally, when we are looking at the System Status report, we’re looking for anything that may be conflicting or potentially causing issues on your site.

A few things we look at:

    * WordPress is up to date.
    * WooCommerce is up to date.
    * All plugins are up to date.
    * You theme and child theme are up to date.

But if you haven’t done the WP Staging conflict testing as Zandy described above after updating everything (and it is still an issue), I would give that a go.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, please start a new thread!
