    Hi,

    Recent install using the following:
    MailPoet Free version: 3.64.0
    MailPoet Premium version: 3.64.0

The problem is with link tracking, it’s turned on and if I use a template but create our own bcontent the links and button clicks are not tracked via Outlook 365, the social footer links are though.

If I view the email in a browser all links are clicked.

I could understand if O365 was blocking all the tracking but it is only blocking the new links I create, it tracks the footer social links – am I missing something?

    TIA

    Phil

  • Hi there @worksdigital,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Can you please clarify if the links you add are not clickable at all, or they’re not being added to your email’s stats?

    Cheers!

    Hi Elvira,

They are all clickable but if clicked on from Outlook 365 client they are not tracked, if I hover over the link the tracking code cannot be seen. If however I view the same email in browser the tracking links can be seen and are recorded. Most odd.

I am concerned that we will lose tracking for any recipients not using a web based email client.

    TIA

    Phil

    Hi there @worksdigital,

Thanks for getting back to me!

While I’m checking the issue with our team, can you please clarify that the same links are tracked on other mail clients?

Sorry I wouldn’t know as testing in Outlook 365 as that is the required environment. Happy to send the exported template for your testing.

    TIA

    Hi there @worksdigital,

Can you please share the email itself, not the template? Please export it to an MSG file and share it here.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elvira,,

We have done some more testing and worked out that if the link is on a button it works as a link but is not getting tracked.

How do I share a msg file here, doesn’t appear to be an upload.

    TIA

I can also supply screen shots that shows if it is a button your tracking link isn’t added to the button links in Outlook 365 but is there if viewed in a browser. Are you aware that Outlook 365 is blocking tracking on button links, why only button links also?

Is there an email address I can send examples and msg to? Happy to pay for support as I need to get this resolved ASAP as all set up and ready to go with MailPoet and I don’t really want to find another solution given the time investment alreday.

    TIA

I have also tested in iPhone mail and the links are tracked so definetly Outlook 365 client is blocking the links.

OK, so my work around is to create buttons as images as they get tracked. Would be great to have a fix for MailPoet buttons that Outlook365 didn’t strip the tracking links from.

    TIA
