My hosting does not allow ffmpeg and I bought my website to host videos, I am trying to find a plugin that will let me upload my videos, because when i upload my videos using wordpress it is just a link. How do I make it an actual video and not a link. I am using the right video file type. Please Help.

Le plug-in que vous avez récemment déclaré nécessite d’avoir mon serveur FFMPEG, ce que je n’ai pas. D’autres suggestions vidéo incorporation de plugins qui ne nécessitent pas FFMPEG?

These are English language forums. Please stick to using English.

Did you have a look at any of the video player plugins that I linked to above?

Okay, I speak english I was translating for riversatile. I cannot seem to find them can you link them again? And so I put a file in my media library then get the link to the file and use the embedder to put it on my website. I do that after I get an embedder plugin right? Please list the plugins again, I cannot find them.

I know I need the plugin to do that, but like… I link the files that are already archived in my media library?

That will depend upon the player plugin that you choose. Some allow you to add the video url as a custom field – in which case you can copy the video’s url as listed in the Media Library.

Okay one second, and while I am gone can you link some plugins?

Hey, it is saying that it cannot find the video…. even thought I went to the media file and got the url, it is not working.

Okay well I am back here, I need help getting videos to show up, or suggest a new embedder.

    Which plugin are you using?

One Second, All in One Video package or something like that

@liammrk You need to do a number of things before you upload the mp4 file with the Media uploader.

    1. Check that your blog can upload MP4 files. SOmething like Network Admin : Settings -> Network Settings : Upload File Types — mp4
    2. Check that you have sufficiently large max upload file size set. In the Network Settings above ‘Max upload file size: 131,072’ = 128Mb.
    3. Open the raw video with a compressor such as VideoMonkey (Mac only) to compress the video to mp4/mv4. I compressed a 256Mb capture down to 18Mb at 1280 x 720.
    4. Upload the compressed mp4 with the media uploader
    5. To display in a blog post or page you’ll need to use a video display plugin. The link above gives you a list. I use MediaElemnts.js but I have to type in the shortcode manually — there’s no editor icon to auto create the shortcode

FFMPEG is an open source system for converting and crunching videos. You won’t be able to run this on a normal web site that you’d get from a provider. Use VideoMonkey or similar on your home machine. I believe Videomonkey uses the FFMpeg code.

There’s a lot involved in massaging and displaying video — maybe you should upload to Youtube ?

    1. That setting is specific to multi-site installs only.

    2. Since the OP indicated that these files are already in the Media Library, that doesn’t seem to be the issue. If it was, I’d recommend using FTP and https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/add-from-server/

Go to my website and see what the video says. That file does exist. Example is on the front page.
