    Hi John,

Thank you for using our plugin!

There are a few ways to add links to the excerpt.

    1. I think you can add them if you explicitly define the excerpt when editing each post. You may need to check the Excerpt box in the screen options tab at the top of the post editor.
    2. You can use a plugin to change excerpt behavior. Advanced Excerpt was recommended in another forum post.
    3. If you’re comfortable with programming, you can use functions to change how the excerpt filter works. Here’s an article about that. It’s a little dated, but should still be relevant.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Patrick
    It did help ??
    1. This word fine so long as the link is written in full in the manual excerpt – you were right about the screen options too ??

    2. I have Advanced Excerpt but when I use it with your plugin, it doesn’t seem to work. I’ll contact the plugin developer to see if it can be sorted.

    3. Thanks for the info re the function – happy to do that but think I don’t want that throughout the site – will give it further thought.

In the meantime am using the manual excerpt approach.

Thanks for your time and advice, and great plugin of course ??

    John
