    Please help!

    I uploaded 2 PDF’s for download here – https://scwq.org.au/?page_id=97

Price list for Rags & Price list for Garden Beds…

However, when you click them, rather than the PDF becoming visible it shows this page – https://scwq.org.au/?attachment_id=100

So the download link is there – hidden in the content as ?attachment_id=100 however it’s not very visitor friendly. I just want the PDF to download from the first click. Did I miss something?

    Any help sincerely appreciated.

    Thanks so much!

Perhaps you could post your code here so that we can help you correct it. I normally like to use the object tags like this:

    <object style="min-height: 1200px;" data="images/DMXzoneBootstrap.pdf" type="application/pdf" width="100%" height="100%"><p>It appears you don't have a PDF plugin for this browser. No biggie... you can <a href="https://joomla333.besaba.com/images/DMXzoneBootstrap.pdf">click here to download the PDF file.</a></p></object>

Some people use iframe and some have also used javascript. So the solutions are all different.

This is the example of my test site:

    Hi Good Guy,

Thanks for your reply. I’m a novice and i’m using the Donatenow theme by Mazda. I just uploaded it as media then changed to an attachment and it linked straight into my page…

You need to use “add media” on the page to add the pdf file.

    Thanks for your reply kmessinger.

That’s what I did. The links to the media go onto my page fine, however, when as a visitor to the site I click on them, rather than the PDF becoming visible it shows this page – https://scwq.org.au/?attachment_id=100

So the download link is there – hidden in the content as ?attachment_id=100 however it’s not very visitor friendly. I just want the PDF to download from the first click. Did I miss something?

When you hover over the links you can see they are not linked to the PDF file.

Edit this page, https://scwq.org.au/?page_id=97 Highlght the link text and use the link button to add the PDF url.
