  • Ditto for me too. The error message “There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again.” occurs when trying to connect sharing with LinkedIn. Worked ok in previous version of Jetpack.

    OK, the feature is back up now.

    @prosperewebitor I have reset your Publicize settings. Let me know if it helps.

    Same problem, here. Jetpack keeps telling me to refresh the connection, but it doesn’t work.

    @sfuteral Could you start your own thread as I suggested above?

    I am also experiencing this problem. I have jetpack installed on my wordpress site (also using the latest version of WP) and I can publicize my posts to facebook but when I try to establish my connection with linkedIn to publicize to linkedIn I get an error message saying “There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again.”

    I have cleared cookies too but still experiencing this problem can anyone help?

    @ktpie – please start your own thread as Jeremy suggested right above your post.

    @andriuz – that site is on WordPress.COM – you can’t use plugins on WordPress.COM.

    You can get help on the WordPress.COM forums here:

    I discovered the issue. A customer experience advocate wrote to me stating:

    "LinkedIn Applications including this third party application have been replaced with a preview of a new feature that lets former LinkedIn Application users add media links to images, presentations, videos, and documents to their profiles. Please note that you may only add and view profile rich media content if you previously had LinkedIn Applications installed on your LinkedIn account. Upon reviewing your account, it seems you've already have our Rich Media features on your profile. Have you tried to add your work on the profile by using the media icon?"

    The list of approved media that may be added includes a note stating "We don’t support blogs at this time."

    it’s not about plugin – it’s about native
