• So whilst I know the link I gave will open up a PDF I want to send to people, but I don’t actually want it to show the URL and date etc of where the document structure is.

Here is an example of what’s happened in another document, that means you have to click again, because the link is in this Page. https://eeesafe.com/documents/ Click on Mission Statement and you’ll see I have to click again?

So I guess there may be 2 questions here, but can I do this without the need to use a Plugin?
    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Click on the link in your editor: you should be able to change the link text to read anything you want, while keeping the link URL pointed to the PDF file.

In the example given, you linked to the “Attachment page”. That’s why you have to click a second time to get to the actual file.

You should instead link to the “Media file” (the PDF link you gave).

If you have existing links that go to the attachment page (as in the example you gave), you can click the link (in your editor) to change the destination URL to that of the media file (the PDF link you gave).

You’re using the commercial page builder plugin, JS Composer — aka WPBakery, and I’m not familiar with its UI so can’t tell you exactly where to go to do what.

If you were to be using WordPress’ native editor, you’d be using the File block, and here’s its official guide: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/file-block/
