Linking directly to Picasa Albums

    In this example, album thumbnails link directly to the PicasaWeb album viewer. When I implement Shashin shortcodes on a page on my site, clicked album thumbnails show the album images within my blog – not within the PicasaWeb viewer. I want the album thumbnail links to go to PicasaWeb so users can easily download the album if desired (which they can’t do if viewing album images on my blog site). Is there a setting within Stashin that controls this? Thanks.

    Yes, you can control this. On the Shashin settings page, look for “How to display a full-size photo when its thumbnail is clicked” and select “display at photo hosting site.”

    Thanks for the update, Mike. When setting “display at photo hosting site”, my issue is partially solved. Clicking on album picture still takes me to a photo viewer within my website, but then clicking on an individual photo takes me back to the Picasa site (where I want to be). I was hoping to eliminate the “middle step” of seeing the photos open within my site first, such that clicking on an album photo would take me directly to Picasa without opening the album first in my website window.

    What your asking for makes more sense than the way it works now. I’ve added it to the issues list:

    As you can see there is a big backlog of requests, as I don’t have much development time for Shashin these days. But I’m almost done with the next version – if this is a quick change in the code, I’ll get it in the next version.

    WOW! Great update, Mike. Love the functionality of going directly to Picasa album from clicking the thumbnail on my site. Kudos and thanks a lot for implementing.
