    Hi

Your Front End Editor is really great, thanks for making such a good tool, but I have trouble replacing the pictures in a post with a picture that is located on my server linking it to the posts. ( the reason for that is that we use plenty of pictures and I prefer separate place for pictures where they can be sorted in various directory. )
Aloha editor does have nice tools for text editing but it seems that there is no any option to edit the picture. ( at least link, position, size and such essential things)
Did I miss something or it is really not possible to edit or replace the pictures with Front End Editor.

    best regards
    Alex

For now, it seems editing images via the Aloha editor does not have all the editing options you want, but I did test adding and editing images and here’s what I found:

You can edit the link for images, so that may help in cases where you just need to update the link.

For the position, you may be able to use the text alignment buttons in the Aloha editor to change the image position, but for it to work it would require the theme you’re using to respect the CSS the Aloha editor adds, such as “text-align: right.” I tested that in the Twenty Twelve theme and setting right-alignment for the image in the Aloha editor did not work because the theme uses different, more specific CSS to align images.

I didn’t see a way to edit the image size directly from the front-end editor.

You might consider importing your images to WordPress with a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/add-from-server/ or change the default media upload location in WordPress so you can use the media library insert options more easily, see https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-change-the-default-media-upload-location-in-wordpress-3-5/

That way, you would also have quicker access to open the standard editor and change image settings when needed.

I just pushed version 2.3.1 of the plugin, which uses Aloha’s default image editing functionality, which supports resizing etc.

I just noticed this, very cool! @arsov, you will definitely like all the new image editing options.

Hm… seems that something is wrong with this new version.

I’ve tried it on my test page and can’t get that floating window with all editing options, but get only few menus in a row at the top of the editing area and if I press on any of that menu nothing happens.

Ups.. it was not main aim to screw the main site, so I’ve tried this plug in on my test page. Today I went to the main site ( Soundbytes magazine ) and it looks that everything works fine on that site ( as I did it with Artisteer while test site is made just with WP )

Yes, now I can access all desired options for placing the graphic.
Many thanks and thanks again for making such a great plugin ??

    best regards
    Alex
