Linking post appears in entirety in linked-to post comments

I have a new blog (thanks for the wonderful software, BTW) that appears to be working well. In my first link from one post to another post, I noticed something that seemed odd and am wondering if it can be adjusted/changed.

I linked from one post to a previous post I had made on a similar topic, and noticed that shortly thereafter, the entire contents of the linking (current) post appeared as a comment in the linked-to post.

I don’t think that’s going to be something I want as a feature on my blog, so I’m wondering how (other than deleting the comment each time one appears) I can prevent this from happening for future links from one post to another.
