Linking Spiffy to Buddypress Calendar for Groups

I’m working on finishing up a website for an internship most of the groundwork was done but the calendar was unfinished.

The biggest challenge I’ve faced is connecting Spiffy (main page like the “what’s happening page”) and then buddypress calendar for groups (for all of the specific groups we have) the idea is to get the groups to talk to each other and so when a group posts an event on their groups calendar it links to the “What’s happening Now” page.

If anyone can provide some kind of support for using this plugin to do the above task I would be enterally grateful. I just haven’t found any specific documentation on how to go about doing this task.
