    Hello,

I sell digital virtual products that over time have grown to have over 80 downloadable links.

Instead of including all the links in the woocommerce product download settings, I just included a link to a dropbox folder that contains all the links.

The problem is whenever someone tries to click on that folder, instead of opening the dropbox folder, it initiates the download of a file called “H”.

How can I link to dropbox folders that contain all my downloads or how do I handle a large amount of links associates with a single product downloadable?

    Thank you.

  • The easiest (and probably best) solution here is to point to a zip-file that’s on your dropbox. So, 1 ZIP-file that contains all your stuff; could be even with a read-first.doc file. Seen at a customer of mine, works great and no battling with folders or multiple links.

Thanks Dave, that’s a solution that passed my mind but then I saw that 80% of my customers are using mobile and I’m not entirely sure how well mobile handles zipped files and whether most people will have something installed to unzip them.

    Hi there @soprano

Thank you for reaching out about this. From what I gather, the “H” file is downloaded, instead of the expected Dropbox folder. Correct?

I went ahead with testing a virtual downloadable product, with a Dropbox folder link in the available downloadable files set up for it, and got a similar result.

Then, I went ahead with trying to link a file, instead, and that worked as expected.

By the way, showcased in this screenshot, here are my downloadable product settings.

To that end, and given my above-mentioned troubleshooting, I’d suggest customizing the emails sent out.
