Linking to a Filtered Table

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This is no problem. ?? You can actually choose between a fixed filtering here (so that the visitor can not change it) and a changeable (via the regular Search field that is shown above a table) filtering.

For the first version, please simply follow https://tablepress.org/extensions/shortcode-filter-get-parameter/
For the second version (which likely is what you want here), please also follow those instructions, but instead of using the Row Filter Extension use https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-auto-filter/ , and in addition make this small code modification: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/automatic-filtering-by-url-parameter/#post-10149102

Thank you for the response. Yes. You are correct. I want the second version. I installed the extension and went into the plugin file editor to find tablepress-shortcode-filter-get-parameter.php but I was unable to locate this file in either the original plugin code nor the extension. Could you help me find this file?

if you installed the Extension and can see it in the list of plugins, the file should be in the location /wp-content/plugins/tablepress-shortcode-filter-get-parameter/tablepress-shortcode-filter-get-parameter.php on the server.
If you really can’t find it in the Plugin Editor, please try using FTP to check on the server.

Sorry, but still having trouble locating the file. I am using FTP and here is what I see in the folder:

ah, I see. You’ll still need the second Extension that I linked to above: https://tablepress.org/extensions/shortcode-filter-get-parameter/
That’s the one where the change needs to be made.
