    Hi,

I have been using My Calendar for a number of years, but have done several updates to the plugin since using it.

I simply want to put a link to an event in a post.

I tried [my_calendar id=”63″] in the post, but nothing shows up.
    I tried [my_calendar]. same

All of the examples in the Quick Start guide seem to be customizing the display of an event calendar.

It used to work, but I wonder if I am missing something in the setup since one of the updates?

    Thanks for any help,

    Randy

If you want just a link, I guess I’d add it as a link, e.g. https://yourdomain.com/mc-events/your-event-here?mc_id=1234 – you don’t need a shortcode to link to an event.

You *can* do it with a shortcode, however: [my_calendar_event event="63" template="{link_title}"]

    Thanks for the quick response.

Getting into it, I now remember how I used to do it!!

I was trying to link to an event in a post because I put all of the information into the event. What I used to do, and what works is putting all of the info into the post, then linking to the post in the event (with the added benefit that the link expires). I have a Mini Calendar widget on my home page.

    Thank you very much!!!

    Randy
