Linking to content within tabs

I am trying to link from one page to a specific tab on another page.
I have tried all kinds of anchor tags inside the tabs, but can’t get the tab to open on the page. It always defaults to opening the left-most tab.
Is there any way to link to something in the fourth tab and have that tab open?
