Linking to Web site-directly

    Is it possible to create a page that is a direct link to another site? We have two organizations under ours that both have their own Websites. I don’t really want to reinvent the wheel. I just want to make a direct link to those sites. Basically, it would fall under our “about us” main menu item, show up as a sub item on the menu but it would, when clicked, take the visitor to the other site instead of a page within our site.

    I’m sorry. The only way I know how to create a custom menu is to create a menu, which requires internal pages from the site, then it would show up on the sidebar (or where ever I stick the widget). I’m lost on how to do this by just linking. I’m not a WP genius so this eludes me.

    Thank you but I already know how to do that. The previous answer said I could “create a custom menu and add it as a link – no need to create a page”. That is what I was addressing in my response. I want to be able to link to two outside websites that are divisions of our organization (www.polymerohio.org) – I want to be able to link directly to https://www.excellenceinmanufacturing.org and https://www.manufacturingportal.org without creating a page to do so.

    Right now, I have created two pages but there is no point in reinventing the wheel by putting text in those pages that can be found on the sites themselves.

    You can create links to external sites with out creating pages. If you could create a menu or edit a menu, you can create a link to any of your sites. For example on my site in the menus I have a link pointing to my feed url which is an external site.

    Okay I found it. Thanks. Hints for idiots like “look further down” would be really great ??
