• I’m a complete online newbie, but I’ve been able to set up (after many hours of trying) to set up a WYSIWYG website and now a WordPress multisite. YAY!

I have two stupid questions for the experienced groups out there, that is probably really simple. I am going to set up an Events Manager Pro page, Classifieds (using Classipress), Forum, News, and a few other informational pages. Is there a plugin that I need to install to retain all my member sign in information, i.e. can my users sign in on one page and have access to all my other sites on the multsite. My domain would be blog.com/forums, blog.com/classifieds, etc….

Second stupid question, to get all my pages linked, do I use a permalink?

You don’t really need a plugin for that. If you register on a Multisite, you have subscriber access to all sites on the network. But if you want them to have a role OTHER than subscriber….

Thank you so much for the response Ipstenu. I think most of this stuff to new comers isn’t as intuitive as it is to experienced developers. I wasn’t sure if your website members info was retained across all the sites so they can just sign in once. I’ll check out the article to. Thank you!

Hopefully there is an article about the link issue to. : )

    That’s exactly how it works.

The level of access they have is granted per-site, but everyone who registers has read-access (unless you’ve done something different).
