  • @ koehmstedt and @abhishek Ghosh,
Both of you are wasting time. I repeat, it is not a mistake and the second link quoted by her (#comments) is not in her list of links. It will come alive only when you use #comments.

@krishna, sorry I’m wasting time, though I’m not sure how.

When I click on your link above it takes me to that specific comment in this thread, however all of the text and links above & below still appear.

I am talking about the body of my post. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn’t.

    @koehmstedt,
I have no problem. I checked your list of links. The link with # does not appear in your links’ list. The forum rule allows only 10 lines to be posted here. Otherwise I would have posted it here. I still believe that it is not a problem. So, if you want to do more tests, you are free to do so.

I am talking about the body of my post

Right. You must be concerned if it behaves erroneously. Just try it without # portion and see. Clear your browser cache/ press ctrl+ F5, and try.

Respected koehmstedt, you are not forcing anyone to reply. It is an Open Source Forum and the problems are solved by helping each other.

Regarding the body of your website’s post (that was the main topic), #comments will browse down directly to the comments, it can not vanish the texts, you are right.

Example on your own website (normal) :

    ./2012/04/free-social-media-icons/

    ./2012/04/free-social-media-icons/#comments

( Hash with the div’s name directs to the intended portion of webpage, like #respond will directly make you to go to reply form. There is no rocket science behind it. It is a simple HTML function.)

But it is happening with your some selected posts (vanishing texts). That means some plugin, (possibly a comment plugin) is conflicting with PHP function to execute.

I said the above way to test throughly.
Another way is to deactivate Greg’s Threaded Comment Numbering Plugin that you are using (I am not sure if there are more comment plugins installed in addition). It might solve the problem. It is actually adding pagination to comments and probably due to a bug, that odd behavior is being triggered.

@abhishek Ghosh thank you, thank you, thank you, that did the trick! And, thank you again! ??

    You are welcome koehmstedt.

Please report this bug to the plugin’s specific support forum. For example, if was Greg’s Threaded Comment Numbering, it will be here.
