Links are not getting updated

When I use the ‘Replace the file, use new file name and update all links’ option, the file is replaced but the links are not getting updated. The file is a pdf. Please help!

My caches (browser and wp-super cache) are cleared.
My file permissions are:
755 (drwxr-xr-x) — directories
644 (-rw-r—r—) — files

I created a test page here: https://palprac.org/try/

https://palprac.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/File-A.pdf was the original file.
https://palprac.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/File-B.pdf is the file I used to replace it.
