Links are not working

  • I have completed all the steps and put in my LinkShare ID and activated the plugin. I then proceed to go to the iTunes Link Maker page and search for the corresponding to what i have posted in my blog. I then copy & paste the HTML link into my post. I puts the nice button the page but when you click it you get “Invalid Publisher Code, Offer, or Publisher – Advertiser Partnership Status”. I have triple checked my linkshare ID and its all correct. I have tried all 3 link maker options: small button, large and text only to come up with the same results as stated above.

    Any idea?? Am i doing something wrong, missed a step…?? Is there perhaps another plugin messing with things??

    I don’t believe you are using iTunes Affiliate Pro. IAP doesn’t have options as you describe.

    Do you have a URL I can take a look at?

    I am using IAP. I signed up for a linkshare account and got my ID as shown. The instructions arent totally clearly on what i do after that to get the itunes links into my wordpress blog. I run a blog that i post new music and i embed a youtube video into the post. What i want to do is below that youtube video is have a itunes button that my viewers can click to download that particular song and inturn i would receive commission for that. In doing that I would normally go to, https://itunes.apple.com/linkmaker/, search the for the corresponding artist. Itunes then provides you with the HTML link for that song, in which i can post into my blog. Of which, there are 3 options of html links itunes offers. 1)Small button 2)Large button and 3)Text only. I was under the impression that this plugin would then change that HTML provided from itunes and then transform it so it would reference my itunes affiliate ID.

    That’s not how IAP works. IAP generates affiliate links from standard iTunes URLs.

    Please reread the “Getting Started” section under the description tab. That should clear everything up.

    I have read that section and i have put the – Taxman – Revolver – into my post and still get the “Invalid Publisher Code, Offer, or Publisher – Advertiser Partnership Status” when you click that link.

    I believe there is a sample link share id in the admin panel of IAP. Have you tries using that?
