I read through the various other threads that were already posted on this topic but unfortunately I still cannot solve this issue.

I moved my site from a hosting company to a onsite server running CentOS 6.7. The homepage comes up fine but links on site bring up a 404 error. The permalinks setting was set to “Post name” when I transferred the site. I have tried changing this to the default setting but I still have the same issue.

The .htaccess file is present in the root folder and is the standard .htaccess file that wordpress generates. I have tried renaming this and letting wordpress generate a new one while changing the permalink settings but I still get the same result.

Does anyone have any other ideas that I can try? If you need more information, let me know and I will post it.

    Thank you for your time.

When you moved your site did the domain name change? Is it possible the links are still using the old domain?

    Hi Laurena,

thanks for responding. I was able to figure out what the issue was. I had to change a value in my httpd.conf config. AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All.

I will mark this as resolved.

    Thanks!
