Links direct to categories or filtered results

Hi there. Trying to set up adwords and sitelink extensions. I need URLs for certain categories or filtered results but the plugin seems not changing the URL when selecting a category or using filters. Can you please advise how I can overcome this issue or maybe I am doing something wrong?

Hi heroprint and bossman,
You can link directly to categories, sub-categories and tags using our available URL parameters. For example, to link to a category, you would add the following to the end of the URL of your catalog page:
?categories=1Where 1 is the ID of the category.
