• Hi there all,
since when I upgraded to wp2 I have error message when clicking on a link inside a post (target=”_blank” or nothing).
    I got a 404 message:
” The requested URL /go.php was not found on this server. “

I DO NOT insert the /go.php string.

this is what I write into the a href:
    "https://www.unipi.it" target="_blank"
    (as always did)
…..and this is what appears on the 404 page:
    https://www.laltroblog.com/go.php?https://www.unipi.it/

this is the post I am referring to:
    https://www.laltroblog.com/?p=429

I really could not understand (yet).
    thank you for any help.

  • What plugins do you have active? Anything that influences the behaviour of the links?

    hi Moshu :o)

No, I don’t think they should.
I run these plugins (the same as with wp 1.5, I deactivated them before the upgrade, then reactivate one by one):
    .counterize
    .democracy (never used but acrive)
    .recent posts
    .recent comments
    .site statistics
    .top10
    .click-counter
    .wp-omline counter
.force word-wrapping (active but does not work)
. lazy gallery (just deactivated, never used yet, no changes)

I run desert.theme by evil bert

I noticed when I pass over with the mouse I can see a “No click” label

I understand it may be something stupid but I cannot understand where the new link address come from, maybe a bug from a configuration file?

    it adds my blog address
    +
    /go.php?
    +
    the link address

and I did not put it that way….

just thank you for your time!
    hope to understand what happens…

    :o)

Hi Hamilla, this may be of no use but…
…i’m new to WP so didn’t recognise go.php but it appears to be a link tracker or click counter info gatherer. I found this post https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/54503 which discusses an issue with click-counter and WP2.

Perhaps you could disable your click-counter plugin and see if it works. If it does you will be closer to a solution.

Hope that is of some help.

    thank you Plodder,
yes it seems the same problem I am experiencing… %o(((

I’ll try to perform what they say and see if it works…
I would like to keep the click-counter on the blog though.. it makes the blog look “more alive”.

    Hope to find a solution…
