Links: If %secondary_title% or %title%

I have Secondary Title plugin installed but I need it to behave as it once did. The author of plugin is unattainable.

I would like posts and pages h1 title tag to be unchanged but to have link titles to those posts and pages to be secondary title. As of now, links and h1 title change the same.

i.e. Change all automatics links to that post and refer to:

If secondary use %secondary_title% or if no secondary use %title% while post h1 title tag does not change.

There must be a controlling file/s for the link titles or code in the plugin editor to make link titles refer to to %secondary_title% first and then use %title% if no secondary.

I need the links to change in sidebar, wp bakery modules and related articles.

I used theme Rehub.
