Hi! Wondering if there is a trick to getting links to display correctly from Google Calendar items? When i create the google calendar item, i use the Link feature to add a url to text. When it interfaces with my website, it’s not converting to a link correctly. Any tips?

Thanks for a the awesome plugin!

Thanks for your feedback… I’d probably need to see exactly how the URLs are getting stored in the ICS feed to be able to modify the output to account for them properly. Would you be able to send me your ICS feed URL? (You can send it to the support email address on the admin page for the plugin.)

OK, I have the link so you can delete it.

OK, I see the issue. I assume that you’re running into the problem that when you have eventdesc="true" set, the descriptions that appear when you hover over an event are showing raw HTML code for the links instead of making them clickable links.

Unfortunately at the moment the plugin uses browser tooltips to generate those hover state descriptions, and it’s not possible to put clickable links (or any HTML at all) in tooltips.

I’m going to be working on an extensive update to the plugin in August, and one of the tasks will be to replace tooltips with custom HTML hover blocks, which will resolve this issue.

OK! Thanks for looking into this for me, and so quickly. i’ll remove the links in the descriptions for now. Happy coding in August!

This feature is now in place in version 3.2.0.
