Links in text widget are not active – help!

It would be great to have the documentation make this clear. It would have saved me many hours.

To say that the first line is the “Title” is not exactly correct, because the first line shows up as content on the blog page.

How it shows up on the blog page is really up to the theme, not WordPress. Nevertheless, it is the “Title”, regardless.

To add text or code to the text Widget, there are two sections to add content. In the top line, enter a description or title for that particular widget. In the next section of the form, enter the the text or HTML code for the widget.

Thanks for the correction. My error. I did read the section on text widgets in the documentation, but in my hurry, I did not read far enough. WP score 1; vtaylor100 score 0.

Well I never found it either, but I found this thread and it certainly straightened out my problem. Thanks!
