    Dear all,

After coming home from work yesterday, I found that my website is broken. I had written a post in the morning, checked stats throughout the day, everything was fine, and all of a sudden, this is what I see:

    https://www.prettychicblog.dk

All my posts are gone – my header, my pictures, my painstakingly designed website. Only a couple of header links are still there, and my error message is displayed. If I try to log onto my WordPress, it comes up with an error, stating that it cannot download upgrade.php. I have absolutely no idea what has happened, I have not upgraded anything.

I have been in contact with my hosting company, but all they can say is that the links seem to be mapped wrong, and that the file structure seems to have changed. I have accessed my website over ftp, and everything looks completely normal – all my folders are there, my pictures and files are all there and, it seems to me, everything is complete.

Does anyone know where I should start to troubleshoot. I have tried to import the backup I had but unfortunately this has not helped anything (unfortunately this backup was only partial, yes, I have learnt my lesson) I do have a mirror site which I have used as a testsite, which is another WordPress installation. I am wondering if I can rescue my main site by copying any of the files from here, but I simply don’t know which one.

Please help – how can I ‘remap my links’ so that they are correct again and I can get my website back up? ??

    First try:

    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
resetting the plugins folder by FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
