links not appearing in latest news

    HI,

    I have a category latest news. I have added this category to the menu so I have a latest news page.
    When I put up a new post, and I put a link in the post, the link does not show up as a link in the latest news page. It does when I click the title of the post and it opens the whole post.
    How can I fix that?

  • Hey there Katrienmoore,

    Hope you are having great week so far!

    This is the default WordPress behavior – it will strip tags from the post preview/excerpt.

    You could use this plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-excerpt/screenshots/

    After installation you can find the settings under:
    WP Admin -> Settings -> Excerpt

    The option about the tag is on the very bottom, but it should be set by default not to strip any. So it should work right out of the box for you.
