You should not use this kind of links.( i.e. ends with an extension .html,.php etc )

WordPress provides pretty url structures which can be set from Backend.(WP-Admin Dashboard) see this

In your case the link
https://fitnessandkids.com/art_family-fitness.html
need to be changed to
https://fitnessandkids.com/art_family-fitness
or
https://fitnessandkids.com/art_family-fitness/

This link https://fitnessandkids.com/art_family-fitness.html search the static file art_family-fitness.html in your directory.Have you created art_family-fitness.html file in your directory or you created a page from wordpress back-end?If you create page from back-end then the link will be https://fitnessandkids.com/art_family-fitness.

I can not figure out how to get rid of the html at the end of the urls in my wordpress that permalink stuff makes no sense to me. When I go to the page itself in wordpress it don’t show html at the end of url, how do I get rid of it?

I guess I made a mistake, the websites that all have my backlinks on them end in html, so when you click on the links to any of my backlinks it comes up page not found because my urls no longer have html at the end. What do i do in this case?
